NCCP Workshop Registration Process Step-by-Step

In the “New NCCP” system there are no more levels, instead certification is broken up into streams. The streams coincide with the age of athlete that you are coaching and is directly linked to the training that the athlete requires. To learn more about each stream click here.

 

Community Sport – Novice Coach

Note: This stream is for coaches who are working with athletes between the ages of 7-13. This is not a prerequisite to the Introduction to Competition stream. Please see the below steps to register for Community Sport.

1. To register for Community Sport - Novice Coach you must click the following link:
http://nccp.footballcanada.com/. This will take you to the coaching link on Football Canada's website. Make sure you keep the Football Manitoba website window open so you can read the below steps to assist you in the process.

2. Register for the online coaching program. This will provide you with a login and password to access the    necessary tools to further your coach training and evaluation.

3. Complete the Pre-clinic Preparation online.

4. Register online for the “Community Sport Novice Coach” workshop of your choice.

5. After you have completed this, Football Manitoba will email you a registration form, fill it out, and return it with payment to Football Manitoba.

6. Attend the “Community Sport Novice Coach” workshop that you registered for. At the workshop you will receive all Community Sport manuals and resources necessary to complete your training.

7. Upon successful completion of the Community Sport Novice Coach workshop you will receive “Trained” status as a Community Sport Novice Coach.

 

Introduction to Competition – Position Coach

Note: Introduction to Competition - Position Coach is for coaches who are working with athletes between the ages of 14-18. Please see the below steps to register for this stream.

1. Print off Football Manitoba’s workshop registration form, fill it out, and return it with payment to Football Manitoba.

2. Attend the “Introduction to Competition Position Coach” workshop that you registered for. At the workshop you will receive all Introduction to Competition Position Coach manuals and resources necessary to complete your training.

3. Upon successful completion of the Community Sport Novice Coach workshop you will receive “Trained” status as a Introduction to Competition Position Coach.

 

Level Three Technical Clinic

Note: Level Three Technical Clinic is still part of the old NCCP program and is only for coaches who are already Level Two certified.

1. Print off Football Manitoba’s workshop registration form, fill it out, and return it with payment to Football Manitoba.

2. Attend the “Level Three Technical” clinic that you registered for. At the clinic you will receive the Level Three Technical manual that is necessary for completing  your training.

3. Upon successful completion of the Level Three Technical clinic all coaches should look into attending the Competition Development workshops (Level Three Theory) hosted by Coaching Manitoba. Please contact Coaching Manitoba for more information on the Competition Development workshops.

 

Note: Any Coach that has not completed the Competition Development Workshops (Level Three Theory) by the end of 2010 will not be grandfathered into the “new” NCCP system with their level three.
